![]() On October 22, 2025, the American Heart Association (AHA) and the International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR) will release the long-anticipated 2025 Guidelines for Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC). These updates are the result of years of research, scientific review, and collaboration — transforming the latest evidence into practice. The new guidelines will impact all course disciplines, including BLS, ACLS, PALS, Heartsaver, RQI, and HeartCode. These changes are designed to enhance survival rates and neurological outcomes by ensuring that training reflects the most current science in resuscitation. CPR Choice will be tuning in to the AHA webinars on October 22 to stay informed as the new guidelines are unveiled in real time. The AHA will also be releasing required Instructor Update modules, which all instructors must complete prior to March 1, 2026, in order to remain active and compliant. We will be hosting CPR Choice Instructor Update Sessions in early November 2025, conducted virtually via Google Meet. Multiple sessions will be offered across a two-week period to provide flexibility for everyone’s schedule. All CPR Choice instructors will be required to transition to the 2025 Guidelines by January 31, 2026. |
